In Brazil you can pay for Google Ads by card or with Pix — Pix is available only with prepay, a billing address in Brazil and BRL currency; boleto is temporarily unavailable for new accounts. When you create a payments profile, Google verifies an individual’s CPF or a company’s CNPJ. Financial services need separate verification by Google. If you need to pay in something other than reais, run several markets or don’t want to depend on a card, an agency account with top-ups by bank transfer or in USDT will work.
How to pay Google directly
| Method | Conditions per Google’s help center |
|---|---|
| Bank card | Automatic payments or prepay; prepaid cards aren’t accepted for automatic payments |
| Pix | Prepay only, billing address in Brazil, BRL account currency |
| Boleto | Temporarily unavailable for new accounts |
Pix is convenient but works only with prepay: you put money in and ads run; the balance runs out and ads stop. Watch the remaining balance on sale days.
CPF and CNPJ
When you create a payments profile in Brazil, Google verifies your tax details:
- an individual confirms their CPF and date of birth, and the CPF must have “regular” status with the Receita Federal;
- a company verifies its CNPJ before the payments profile can be created;
- Google may also ask existing accounts to confirm their CPF.
Account currency
Currency is set permanently when the account is created. Pix requires BRL. If you’re an exporter, count your budget in dollars or advertise in several countries at once, it’s easier to keep accounts in USD or EUR — but then local methods like Pix won’t be available.
Financial services
Brazil is on the list of countries where Google requires Financial Services Verification. If you advertise financial products, you need a license and verification before launch. Details in our article on regulated niches.
When an agency account is more convenient
- You need to pay in something other than reais or by non-local methods.
- You advertise in Brazil and other countries and want to see all markets in one structure.
- You don’t want ads to stop because of card declines or an empty Pix balance at night.
- Finance needs a contract and an invoice.
In an agency account Google bills the agency, and you top up your balance with the agency — by bank transfer against an invoice or in USDT. The tax consequences of paying abroad depend on Brazilian law — check them with your accountant.
How to start with Gads
- Submit a request: client type, budget, what you advertise, Telegram or WhatsApp.
- We confirm that the GEOs and currency you need are available before you pay.
- Review takes up to an hour after sign-up, then accounts are issued instantly.
- Top up by bank transfer or in USDT and split the balance across accounts in the dashboard.
The price is only a percentage of actual ad spend: 3% on the first $50,000 a month, 2% on the part up to $150,000 and 1% above. Details on the pricing page. For stores and brands, see the E-commerce page.
