For advertisers from Chile who haven’t provided tax information, Google adds 19% VAT to invoices. Payment methods depend on country, currency and account settings, and currency and time zone can’t be changed after creation. If you advertise in several countries in the region, count your budget in dollars or want to pay by bank transfer or in USDT, an agency account is more convenient.
Taxes on Google invoices
If an advertiser from Chile hasn’t provided tax information, Google adds 19% VAT to invoices. Fill in the tax information in your payments profile before launch — it determines how tax is charged.
How to pay Google directly
Google accepts bank cards, and other methods depend on country, currency and payment settings. The payment options tool in Google’s help center shows the current list for your account. If the bank declines charges, the reason is shown in your billing summary, and it has to be resolved with the bank. Details in “Bank declines Google Ads payments”.
Currency and time zone
Both settings are permanent. For ads targeting Chile, set Chile’s time zone, or ad schedules and daily budgets will shift. The currency is the one you pay and count your budget in: local for local payment methods, or USD for dollar budgets.
When an agency account is more convenient
- You advertise in Chile and other countries and want one balance and one structure.
- You need to pay in dollars, by bank transfer against an invoice or in USDT.
- You want separate budgets and reports by brand or client.
In an agency account Google bills the agency, and you top up your balance with the agency. The tax consequences of paying abroad depend on Chilean law — check them with your accountant.
How to start with Gads
- Submit a request: client type, budget, what you advertise, Telegram or WhatsApp.
- We confirm that the GEOs and currency you need are available before you pay.
- Review takes up to an hour after sign-up, then accounts are issued instantly.
- Top up by bank transfer or in USDT and split the balance across accounts in the dashboard.
The price is only a percentage of actual ad spend: 3% on the first $50,000 a month, 2% on the part up to $150,000 and 1% above. Details on the pricing page.
